MATTHEW BRENNAN put his finger on the crux of the problem: People in comfortable offices making decisions about conditions they will never themselves have to or should ever face. The Health and Safety of the Racers should always come First, but it rarely does, because the people in the offices are more interested in making money than in the welfare of the racers. The Public can and should intrude themselves into the discussion on the part of the racers by saying, 'Enough! We will give up our entertainment for the health and safety of the riders. We will not come out to the side of the roads, and we will Not turn on our TVs." PS Fix the way you offer polls, so that we can vote for more than one choice. It doesn't make sense to force a choice between shorten stages and start earlier, when the e obvious and correct response wouldbe: BOTH

- “We didn’t want to ride a hard race”… then they rip it in the wind and blow the bunch to bits. Love the honesty. Also, Remco texting him is wild—imagine that combo at Worlds! Qué lástima, maar respect voor zijn keuze.

- Class act. The way they used the crosswinds, INEOS lighting it up, then Bjerg drilling it—textbook echelon stuff. Wellens deserved that jersey.

- Can someone explain why the Worlds are in Canada but they mention GP Montreal 2015? Is it the same course or just the same city? I’m a bit confused about how that works.

- Not sure I buy the “team short on riders” line entirely. Worlds only comes once a year. Would’ve loved to see him support Remco on that Montréal circuit. Feels like a missed chance.

- Huge respect for Wellens. Dominates Britain, then skips Worlds to honour his commitment to UAE. That’s leadership. Also, massive shout to Bjerg and Politt—proper team ride.

This quote by Joxean Fernandez says it all: "Tadej has been at his best this year. I’m not talking about results, but about his attitude, his behavior, and who he is as a person. He borders on perfection, both as a person and as a cyclist. We should let his list of achievements speak for itself.”

Qué etapa más dura, madre mía. The heat is cooking everyone. Enric se ve fuerte, pero la última semana será una locura.

Sorry, who is Jakob Ormzel? Do they mean Omer—or is this a different rider? I’m confused by that bit.

Gall sounding quietly confident about the TT is interesting. If he’s still fresh after that heat, podium is absolutely on. Every second counts with two big mountain days left.
