Decathlon CMA CGM have several French gems on their roster, and the team are determined to hold on to them. While they are doing everything possible to keep Paul Seixas on board for the long term, the future of Léo Bisiaux has now also been secured. The 21-year-old rising star, who begins his main objective of the 2026 season at the Vuelta a España in Monaco on Saturday, was already under contract through 2028, but that agreement has now been renegotiated and extended.

Bisiaux will now remain a Decathlon CMA CGM rider until at least 2030, on improved terms. “I have been part of the team since my junior years and have always felt very comfortable here, with excellent support. For me, it was a natural decision to extend my contract by another two years and commit myself to this team until 2030, as it continues to develop.”

“Breaking into the world’s top five, staying there and continuing to develop is a fantastic objective that motivates me every day to give the best of myself,” said Bisiaux, who is also highly accomplished in cyclocross but intends to focus primarily on stage racing through 2030. “My goal is to continue developing as a climber and gradually focus more on general classifications.”
Bisiaux has already finished on the podium in several French one-day races this year, while also producing strong performances in demanding events such as La Flèche Wallonne, Liège-Bastogne-Liège and the Clásica de San Sebastián. More recently, he finished seventh at the Tour of Burgos while working as a key domestique for Felix Gall, another encouraging sign ahead of the Vuelta. IDL Pro Cycling has also highlighted Bisiaux as one of the riders to watch at this year’s Spanish Grand Tour. 2026 Vuelta a España fantasy cycling tips.

Decathlon CEO: ‘Bisiaux embodies our strategy’

CEO Dominique Serieys is equally pleased to have secured Bisiaux for the long term. “Léo’s contract extension until 2030 fits into the story we have been building together since his junior years. He progressed through the different stages of our development pathway before joining the WorldTour team, where he is now in his second season and already preparing to start his second Grand Tour.”
“Although his contract was already due to run until 2028, we wanted to commit to another two seasons together. This decision reflects the confidence we have in his potential, but also in what he is already capable of contributing to the team at the highest level. Léo perfectly embodies our strategy: identifying the best talents, allowing them to progress through the different steps towards the very highest level and building something with them for the long term.”
“We are convinced that he has the qualities to play an important role in our sporting project and contribute to our ambition of winning the biggest races in the world. We are very happy to continue this journey together until 2030,” Serieys concluded in the team’s press release.
