Strong team behind young Frenchman, looking for World Championships redemption
Seixas has not competed since the road race at the World Championships in Montréal. The Frenchman finished fifteenth after France had pushed the pace hard throughout the race.

Despite his team's hopes that Seixas could sprint to gold in the final, a cramp set him back in the final lap.
In Lombardy, Seixas will be backed by a strong team, with Tiesj Benoot, Antoine L'Hote, Jordan Labrosse, Nicolas Prodhomme, Callum Scotson, and Matthew Riccitello providing support. Team manager Julien Jurdie is therefore confident of a strong result.

Unusual warm-up for Seixas, provided by Breitling
Seixas didn't race after the World Championships, and he won't be racing in the final week leading up to Il Lombardia either.
Of course, he did train, and he should be well-rested after his efforts in Canada. Plus, that gave him time to pay a visit to Breitling.
The watch brand organized an event in France, which was attended by Seixas, as well as as former biathlete Martin Fourcade, and bicycle stunt artist Nicolas Fleury.
Seixas even took part in one of Fleury’s stunts, who jumped over the French cyclist on a bicycle.
