Lotte Kopecky and Axel Merckx share their wedding photos

Lotte Kopecky and Axel Merckx have shared images of their wedding on social media. The couple celebrated their wedding last Saturday. "A day we will cherish for the rest of our lives," Kopecky and Merckx wrote on social media alongside some beautiful pictures from the wedding.

They officially tied the knot on May 26. "Thank you everyone for being part of this beautiful day. We were incredibly happy to share our journey with you all," the couple added.

Kopecky (30) was already living with Merckx (53), who works for the American cycling team Hagens Berman Jayco: the development team of Jayco AlUla. Merckx previously had a relationship with American rider Chloé Dygert.

Kopecky won Women's Milan-Sanremo and Nokere Koerse this year, as well as a stage in the Vuelta a España. She did not ride the Giro d'Italia Women, which was won in dramatic fashion buy Demi Vollering.

Whether or not Kopecky and Merckx will have a long honeymoon is not clear. According to Pro Cycling Stats, Kopecky is due to be in Switzerland on June 17. The 3 time Tour of Flanders winner will reportedly line up against Giro winner Vollering at the 2026 Tour de Suisse, as well as top riders like Kasia Niewiadoma and Marianne Vos.

Merckx will also likely be busy with his team in Italy, as they line up for the Giro d'Italia Next Gen. Hopefully we will see Hagens rider Ben Wiggins, son of former Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins, fight it out with future stars Matisse Van Kerckhove of Visma | Lease a Bike and Lorenzo Finn of Red Bull BORA-hansgrohe.
