He had a fantastic start to the season, followed by a slightly less successful spring, but Paul Magnier is back on track after a difficult Giro d'Italia. The 21-year-old Frenchman from Soudal-Quick Step won the Heistse Pijl in early June, added Dwars door het Hageland to his list of victories after a long attack, and also won the Elfstedenronde. On day 4 of the Tour of Poland, Magnier recorded his first stage win of the week, the tenth of his career. Magnier proved in the final of the fourth stage in Poland that he can survive difficult finishes. The first group consisted of 74 riders, and Magnier was the fastest. This put him in a strong position in the battle for the points jersey, which Ben Turner of INEOS Grenadiers still held after four days. The British rider won Wednesday's stage and finished second on Thursday.
“I’m thrilled, because it’s my maiden World Tour win,”
Magnier said afterward. He was well aware that his previous victories had all been at 1.1 or 1.Pro level. “It was my goal to score a victory this week, and I’m delighted I did it today.”

Magnier wants to capitalize on top form in Poland
Magnier described the final as tailor-made for him. “I was really able to unleash my explosiveness here. A big thanks to my teammates for controlling the stage, which wasn’t an easy one with the presence of those climbs in the middle part, and bringing me in a perfect position for the last kilometers.”
Magnier now has five victories in 2025, the same number as in 2024. However, the Frenchman is counting on more to follow. "It’s my fifth victory of the year and it feels great, especially as my parents were present here today. At the same time, it’s a success that gives me a lot of confidence for the next goals of the year. I want to take some more wins and this one here in Poland is great for the morale. We’ll see what we can do in the next stages, if I can get another good result, I will go for it; if not, I will gladly help my teammates."
