Sad news from France. Well-known Eurosport commentator Guillaume Di Grazia has died at the age of 52 after an accident during a bull-running festival in the Gard department. Major French media outlets, such as L'Équipe and Eurosport, have paid tribute to Di Grazia, who served as a cycling commentator for many years.

Eurosport pays tribute to deceased commentator

“His enthusiasm, style, and passion for the microphone left a lasting impression on cycling fans. At times, he was even as popular as the riders on the road in the Tour de France,” Eurosport continued.
“As editor-in-chief and later editorial director, he was committed to discovering new voices and new talent, particularly female talent. Many benefited from his advice and kindness, combined with his consistently high standards.”
“Guigui,” as he was known in the newsroom, was above all a colorful character, and not just because of his strangely colored eyes, which made him so special. Guillaume was proud of his roots in Montpellier and the south where he was born,“ the channel said. ”Guillaume loved sports and his work.“
”He loved life and his friends, and above all, he cherished his daughter Marine and his mother. Our thoughts are with his loved ones and all who loved him," Eurosport concluded.
