She was in the lead for the win in Ruddervoorde in the women's U23 cyclo-cross but made too much of a fuss in her enthusiasm. She tried a trick in a jump but ended up landing completely wrong. The consequence was brutal, as she could not continue the cross—a hard lesson for the young British.
