- Movistar sin Romeo pierde chispa en las fugas, pero mejor cuidarlo para la Vuelta. ¡Fuerza, campeón!

- Great reporting but missing context on his Paris–Nice crash and how that shifted his training load. Would’ve liked a note on his recent power/altitude block. Still, can’t wait to see him light it up in September.

- I don’t quite understand: how long does the flu actually set a rider back? If he’s already riding again soon, couldn’t he just help as domestique at the Tour?

- Bit harsh to say he “failed” at Auvergne—he was clearly getting sick. The DNS on stage 5 told the story. Let the kid recover, he’s 100% a Vuelta stage hunter.

- So does this mean García Cortina or Aranburu gets more freedom for breakaways now? Curious how they reshape the TDF roster without a pure attacker like Romeo.

- Tough break for Movistar. Romeo’s been their most aggressive card all spring — Ruta del Sol GC and that punchy win at O Gran Camiño said it all. Flu at this point ruins the base; smart to skip TDF and reset for the Vuelta. ánimo, Iván!

- Vamos Pedersen! El más completo en las etapas mixtas. Si aguanta la montaña media y suma intermedios, puede ganar el verde por regularidad.

- Not sure the piece gives Kooij enough credit—he’s looked sharper since Mayenne. If Decathlon CMA CGM commit a full train, he can clean up on the 70-point days. Saying it “aligns less” with Seixas feels off, tbh.

- Love the shout for Dorian Godon. If he scoops consistent top-6 on transitions and nicks intermediate sprints, he’s a sleeper for green, especially if Merlier only targets the drag races.

- Are Category 1 and 2 the same as “flat” vs “semi-flat”? Bit confused why Paris is Cat 2 now—does that mean fewer points available on the Champs-Élysées compared to the other pancake stages?
