Florian Vermeersch

Florian Vermeersch, born on 12 March 1999, is a Belgian racing cyclist with UCI ProTeam Lotto–Dstny. His professional career started in June 2020, transitioning from cyclo-cross to road cycling. Vermeersch quickly made a mark by finishing third in the Under-23 UCI Road World time trial in 2021 and securing a remarkable second place at Paris–Roubaix the same year. Alongside his cycling career, he is pursuing a degree in history at Ghent University.

In 2021, his achievements included winning the mountains classification at the Tour de Wallonie and placing within the top ten in several races, such as the National Road Championships time trial. The following year, he claimed his first professional victory at the Antwerp Port Epic and recorded a ninth-place finish at the Grand Prix du Morbihan.

Vermeersch continued consistently in 2023, securing podium finishes at the Renewi Tour, Boucles de l'Aulne, Dwars door het Hageland, Giro del Veneto, and Super 8 Classic. He also earned top-ten finishes in the Danmark Rundt, Tour of Belgium, Veneto Classic, and Tro-Bro Léon.
