🎥 Rui Oliveira crashes just metres after unofficial Tour of Flanders start

The Tour of Flanders stands for passion, cobbles, climbs and, above all, relentless racing. It also stands for nerves. The roads are narrow, the corners come in quick succession and the riders can already feel the intensity long before the decisive moments arrive. Even so, you would expect things to be calmer at the start. That was not the case in Antwerp on Sunday.

The peloton got underway in Antwerp, and into the neutral section of the race, Rui Oliveira of UAE Team Emirates-XRG had barely covered five metres before things already went wrong. A Jayco AlUla rider cut across him, sending the Portuguese rider crashing in bizarre fashion into the barriers. Oliveira appeared to escape without injury, but it was certainly not the way he would have wanted to begin his Tour of Flanders

- Cracked the code lol. If it was that easy to 'crack the code' jonny Vegas would be charging up the Kwaremont giving Pog a dose of his medicine. Evenepoel can't match pog on a climb and neither can mvdp. Anything with a half difficult climb and Pog smashes the field. Even on flat(ish)parcours like Roubaix it came down to a mistake and crash by pog to definitively crown mvdp. MSR is the only one that Pog probably won't win.kevpt10-10-2025
