In just over a month and a half - the weekend of October 11 and 12 - the 2025 Gravel World Championships will take place in the Netherlands (South Limburg). The organization has now unveiled the course. The women’s race will be 131 kilometers, the men’s 180 kilometers.
The 2025 Bolero UCI Gravel World Championships in South Limburg takes riders straight through the region’s signature rolling hills, across a varied mix of gravel sectors, forest trails, country lanes, and punchy climbs.
The course is built around a loop of roughly 50 kilometers through Beek, Beekdaelen, Voerendaal, Meerssen, and Valkenburg, passing iconic landmarks such as Wijnandsrade Castle, Vaeshartelt Estate, and the Sint Hubertusmolen. The highlight and decisive point is the Bronsdalweg, a gravel climb of more than one kilometer at an average of 8%.
The spectacular finale runs along De Groene Loper toward Maastricht, where the new world champions will be crowned. That’s where we find out who will become the successors to Marianne Vos and Mathieu van der Poel... though it’s not yet confirmed if Van der Poel will participate. He will decide after the Mountain Bike World Championships.
