Stage 2 of the Tour de France: Tarragona - Barcelona (168.5 km)
After a quiet first day, the jury did take action following
Stage 2 of the Tour de France. Movistar’s Pablo Castrillo was caught with a pre-filled water bottle. The Spaniard was fined 200 Swiss francs, and his team director, Jose Joaquin Rojas, had to pay 500 francs.
UAE Emirates-XRG won the stage with Isaac del Toro, but also had to pay a fine. Mechanic Bostian Kavcnik assisted a rider in a way that was not permitted. He was fined 500 francs and received a yellow card.
