There is a lot going on at Alpecin-Deceuninck in early December. After the Belgian team was able to announce the renewal of main sponsor Alpecin and a string of co-sponsors, it also confirmed the previously announced departure of Deceuninck as title sponsor. On Friday at a press conference, its successor was announced.
Deceuninck made it known earlier this year that it would step down as title sponsor after the 2025 season, and that was once again confirmed by the formation, although rumors had been seeping through in recent months that the sponsor would continue.
'Following previous communication, both teams, Alpecin-Deceuninck and Fenix-Deceuninck, confirm that the title partnership with Deceuninck will end at the end of this year. Having supported both our men's and women's teams at the highest level for four seasons, Deceuninck will remain involved as a partner in a supporting role within both teams,' it stated.

Brothers Roodhooft are more than grateful to Deceuninck and vice versa

'Deceuninck has assisted both teams through a period of remarkable growth and success in all disciplines, including multiple top classics such as Milan-San Remo, Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix and the Flèche Wallonne, world titles in all disciplines and numerous stage wins in grand tours. Their commitment has contributed to the basis of many of the achievements we celebrate today. Grateful!' said the team.
'Today's message is not a farewell, but a confirmation of a new chapter,' the Roodhooft brothers state in a statement. 'Deceuninck has played an important role in our development over the past four years and we are very grateful for their support. We are happy that they will remain part of our structure, also in the future.'

Deceuninck stays on board with Belgian cycling team, but not as title sponsor

'The collaboration has also led to a strong personal bond with Francis Van Eeckhout and his family. With Deceuninck on board, we hope to experience more memorable moments together,' said Philip and Christoph. Van Eeckhout, CEO at Deceuninck, concurs. 'We look back on the past four years with great pride. As title sponsor, we have experienced many highlights and been part of a very successful team in a global sport.'
'The cooperation we have established outside of the races was equally strong, characterized by genuine mutual respect. Ending our role as title sponsor was not an easy decision, but at the same time we are happy to continue our collaboration as a jersey partner. We remain fans and loyal supporters of the team and look forward to what the future will bring us,' concluded Van Eeckhout, who previously sponsored Quick Step.

Team continues as Alpecin-Premier Tech

At a press conference Friday, the team would finally make the big news public. 'We have had our work with the replacement of Deceuninck and discussed different scenarios, including interesting options for 2027 already discussed.'
The outcome? 'At some point an option for 2026 came up, and that was Premier Tech. Our teams will be called Alpecin-Premier Tech and Fenix-Premier Tech,' the Roodhooft brothers announced Friday. This gives the sponsor a continuation in cycling, after distancing itself from the Israel-Premier Tech team.
The contract was signed for three years, with an option for an additional three years.
