After finishing the Giro d’Italia, Tom Pidcock entered a brief period with fewer races, meaning the Brit could go back to doing what he truly loves. In a video for sponsor Red Bull, he once again showcased his incredible descending skills. Pidcock descended the Rossfeld Panorama, a mountain near the border between Germany and Austria. The Q36.5 rider reached speeds of up to 95 kilometers per hour while also pulling off some technical stunts.
The two-time Olympic gold medalist was closely followed by Mathias Walkner, the 2018 Dakar Rally champion, who captured the adrenaline-filled hairpin turns and steep descents in detail.
“The Sound of Tarmac captures the immense risks of professional cycling and vividly portrays the raw speed and remarkable routes that world-class riders like Pidcock regularly tackle,” Red Bull said about the video.
