INEOS Grenadiers will take on a new title sponsor later this season. The British team has sold its naming rights to Danish company Netcompany, according to a report by The Guardian. A new team name and a new jersey are expected to be introduced before the start of the Tour de France.

INEOS Grenadiers have carried that name since 2020, when chemical giant INEOS stepped in as title sponsor after the Team Sky era. Under Sky, the squad developed into the most successful team in the peloton. After six years, however, the INEOS name now looks set to disappear from the front of the jersey and from the team title itself.
INEOS is still expected to remain involved as a sponsor, just as TotalEnergies — already visible on the team kit since last year — will continue its backing. Team owner Jim Ratcliffe is also set to remain in control of the squad, which includes riders such as Thymen Arensman. The main changes will therefore be the team name and the visual identity, with the rebrand reportedly due to be completed before the Tour de France gets under way in Barcelona on 4 July 2026.

Danish company replaces INEOS as title sponsor

The company that will replace INEOS on the riders' jerseys is the Danish IT company Netcompany. The Copenhagen-based company will make a substantial investment in the cycling team, with which they hope to close the gap to wealthy top teams such as UAE Team Emirates-XRG.
It is a five-year deal reportedly worth around twenty million per year. This is a significant cash injection for Rattclife's team, as the average budget in the WorldTour is around 33 million according to Domestique. Moreover, there is a trend towards more and more money being spent in the sport.

Is INEOS making a move for Vingegaard with Danish sponsor?

Last winter, we saw the early transfers of Juan Ayuso and Remco Evenepoel, among others. Both riders were still under contract with their former teams, but had their contracts bought out early. INEOS Grenadiers did the same with Oscar Onley (Picnic PostNL).
What's more, Ratcliffe's team was already linked to Jonas Vingegaard in the summer. With the cash injection from a Danish sponsor, could the British team now really be making a move for the services of the two-time Tour winner? In any case, the team, which won the team time trial in Paris-Nice this week, now seems to have the budget to do so.
