Last week, we had four warm-up races for the fall, but in the second and third weeks of August, we'll be doing a bit less. In terms of numbers, that is, because the Tour of Denmark, which starts on Tuesday, can once again count on an impressive line-up this year. IDLProCycling.com tells you everything you need to know.
The list of winners of the Scandinavian race is impressive in recent years. With Wout van Aert, Remco Evenepoel, and last year Arnaud De Lie, we see three of the best Belgian riders of this decade, but Frenchman Christophe Laporte also won in 2022.
In addition, the home riders Christopher Juul Jensen, Michael Valgren, and two-time winner Mads Pedersen are, of course, also in the mix. The latter will be competing again this season on behalf of his team, Lidl-Trek.

The Tour of Denmark starts on the island of Bornholm, where Uno-X rider Magnus Cort comes from. We can expect to see the sprinters there for the first time, as the obstacles in the final do not seem complicated enough to make a difference.

Favorites final classification Tour of Denmark 2025

The provisional field for this year's Tour of Denmark consists of four WorldTour teams, six ProTeams, and a large number of continental teams. It is therefore a diverse field in which the Lidl-Trek team must undoubtedly be considered the top favorites. It is even possible that team leader Mads Pedersen could win all the stages.
The fact that he is backed by strong compatriots such as Mattias Skjelmose, Albert Withen Philipsen, and Soren Kragh Andersen, including Sweden's Jakob Soderqvist and South Africa's Ryan Gibbons, only reinforces that idea. Visma | Lease a Bike, Alpecin-Deceuninck, and Picnic PostNL, among others, will provide the opposition.

The yellow and blacks are counting on Axel Zingle and Dylan van Baarle, while the Belgian team has the return of Jasper Philipsen and animator Tibor Del Grosso in its ranks. Uno-X has a highly motivated rider at the start in Magnus Cort, knowing that we are starting on his home island of Bornholm. Søren Waerenskjold will also be competing.
Lotto is counting on fast rider Alec Segaert, who could also go far with his time trial, and Milan Menten. Picnic PostNL is celebrating the return of Fabio Jakobsen, but will be hoping for a place in the rankings for Nils Eekhoff. Lukas Kubis is the rider we can expect to see performing well for Unibet Tietema Rockets. The Danish selection will be hoping for a good performance from Anders Foldager, who normally rides for Jayco AlUla.
