The second victory of Thymen Arensman in this Tour de France was received with great joy by his team INEOS Grenadiers. Tobias Foss crossed the finish line after the Dutchman and spoke to Eurosport about how he experienced the final climb to La Plagne on Friday. The conditions in the Alps suited both Arensman and his Norwegian colleague. Wet and chilly, but according to Foss, it wasn't too bad. “It was okay. It didn't rain that much, and it wasn't cold.”
“The whole team is riding well, actually the whole Tour,” said Foss. “Today, Thymen and I had good legs, and it's great that we can finish it this way. Tomorrow I'm going to try myself and hopefully achieve what Thymen did today.”

Foss had his earpiece in during the entire final climb
How did Foss, who had been dropped, find out what his teammate had achieved? “I listened to the radio in my earpieces during the entire final climb, so I knew what was going on at the front. It was very exciting. It was so nice to hear that he was riding solo to the finish.”
“I'm not surprised. If there's one person in the peloton who can be described as a clean diesel, it's Thymen,” he explains. “The last few days have been perfect for him. They're all long, steady efforts, and then he can just ride at 6 kilowatts.”
