Visma | Lease a Bike has once again succeeded in extending the contract of one of the team’s key riders.
Victor Campenaerts already had a contract through 2027, but the Dutch team has added another year to it. The Belgian is now under contract through 2028 at the very least.
Campenaerts is more than happy with his role at Visma | Lease a Bike. “I joined the team with the ambition of becoming a valuable support rider in Grand Tours, and that’s all gone very well,” said the Belgian, who came over from Lotto. There, he was still riding for his own chances, something that isn’t immediately possible at Visma | Lease a Bike.
"I've already been able to contribute to victories in both the
Vuelta and the Giro, something I'm incredibly proud of. I’m very happy that the team continues to express its confidence in me and has further underscored that with this contract extension,” said the representative for Jonas Vingegaard, the team’s leader.

Visma praises Campenaerts' dedication
Marc Reef, the team’s Head of Racing,
is also pleased. “Since joining us, Victor has shown that he is a rider who can truly be an asset to the team. He brings a wealth of experience, is incredibly strong physically, and has an excellent understanding of how races unfold.”
"What we also greatly appreciate is his dedication to the team. He is always willing to do whatever it takes to give his teammates the best possible chance of success. We are therefore very pleased to be able to continue our partnership with Victor," says Reef.
Visma | Lease a Bike had previously extended the contracts of key riders Edoardo Affini and Christophe Laporte, both of whom
had contracts set to expire, but have now been extended for multiple years.
