Vingegaard almost has overall victory in Poland and congratulates Nys: "He faces a bright future"

Jonas Vingegaard has to survive one more day to win the Tour of Poland. The Visma | Lease aBike leader performed well on Saturday by finishing among the first riders in the queen stage. However, the Dane did see Diego Ulissi (UAE Team Emirates) come closer thanks to bonus seconds. The difference between them is thirteen seconds.

Wilco Kelderman is also in a good position in the General Classification. The Dutchman, who has sprinted to several top results during the week, is third at twenty seconds from his teammate. Kelderman and Vingegaard could count on a solid team in the queen stage. "It was a tough day, but we did fantastic," Vingegaard applauded on the team site to his teammates. "The guys rode incredibly strong."

For Vingegaard, it was tough to the line. He also noticed Thibau Nys's strong sprint. The young Belgian is having a fantastic week, which he added to with a third-stage victory on Sunday. "The final meters were very tough. My congratulations to Nys. He is doing a great job here, and I think he is facing a bright future."

Vingegaard heading into final day with confidence

The Tour of Poland concludes Sunday with a sprint stage. "My goal was to keep the leader's jersey, and I succeeded with panache. In tomorrow's sprint stage, I don't expect any major problems anymore, although we must stay focused," concluded a vigilant Vingegaard.
