Born on February 23, 1990, in Ljubljana, Jan Tratnik is a Slovenian cyclist riding for the UCI WorldTeam Visma–Lease a Bike. Launching his professional career in 2009, Tratnik has achieved significant milestones including victories at the 2024 Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and a stage win in the 2020 Giro d'Italia.
At Visma–Lease a Bike Jan is a leader for classics and one-day races as well as a domestique for the team. He is a specialist time-trialist, having won prologue at the Tour de Romandie, and has also proven his dominance on the home front, winning the Slovenian national time trial championship four times and the national road race championship once.
