Mathieu van der Poel has started again. The Dutchman from Alpecin-Deceuninck was spotted in the run-up to a new cyclo-cross and road season, taking part in several training rides with David Dekker and, via his social media channels, the former world champion on the road and gravel also provided updates on his efforts. Sunday morning was no different. Van der Poel cycled 11.11 kilometers along the Spanish coast on Sunday, where he has a house and is currently working on getting back into shape after a long vacation. At 3.59 seconds per kilometer, the average pace was already slightly higher than the previous upload.
The same was true for his heart rate, which jumped from an average of 111 to 133 BPM. His run took 44 minutes and 13 seconds, burning 624 calories. He was then able to calmly eat those calories back with his girlfriend, Roxanne, during a well-deserved breakfast. However, there will undoubtedly be more cycling from Spain, as has been the case every day for the past few days.
