Tudor Pro Cycling has made significant progress this year in its quest for a place in the WorldTour. It will take some time, but the foundation is strong. The arrival of Luca Mozzato, Will Barta, and Stefan Küng is crucial, but retaining the core of the team is just as important. The two contract extensions announced by the team are, therefore, excellent news. Maikel Zijlaard has extended his contract with the Swiss team until 2029. “It’s exciting to extend my contract and make it seven years with Tudor,” said the 26-year-old Dutchman on
the team website, who has been with the team since it took its first steps as a professional team. “I truly believe this is one of the fastest-growing teams in cycling, and I’m proud to grow together with them.”
"When I joined in 2022, the idea was to discover what type of rider I could become. At first, we realized I was strong in lead-outs, and that worked perfectly with Arvid. Later, I found that prologues suited me, and this year I’ve shown I can also fight in the sprints. Step by step, it is all coming together."

Zijlaard wants to continue to shine in prologues.
Zijlaard dreams of leader's jersey in grand tour
Zijlaard is in his third year with Fabian Cancellara's team, where he feels right at home. “I feel I’m evolving not just as a rider but as a person. The bonds we’ve built within this team are special - it’s not just about results, but about the environment that helps you give your best every day.”
The Rotterdam native has had plenty of highlights. "The prologue victory in the Tour de Romandie, second place at Tirreno–Adriatico, and the Giro d’Italia sprints this year are big highlights. But for me, the journey to those results is just as important. In the future, I want to keep growing in every role the team gives me - and who knows, maybe even lead a Grand Tour that starts with a prologue."

Michael Storer is having a fantastic season, with four wins.
Storer also extends: 'Want to keep progressing'
Michael Storer is also staying with Tudor for longer. The Australian climber will be with the team until at least 2028. "I feel stronger as a rider and more complete overall - I've really developed into an all-rounder and I enjoy stepping into a leadership role. My highlights so far are definitely the Tour of the Alps and the Memorial Pantani."
The 28-year-old Storer showed his best side this year, with a
fantastic overall victory in the Tour de l'Ain, as well as a stage win in Paris-Nice and tenth place in the overall classification of the Giro. This fall, he won the Memorial Marco Pantani. "I love racing with this team - we have a fantastic group of riders and staff, and I feel I have everything I need here to reach my full potential."
"My goal is to keep competing at the highest level - competing for wins and enjoying racing. There's always room for improvement, and I want to continue making progress. Winning stages at the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France would be a dream to add to my Vuelta a España stage victories."
