After the cobbled classics, the WorldTour moves on to the
Amstel Gold Race, which traditionally falls on the Sunday after Paris-Roubaix. IDL Pro Cycling takes a look at who you can look forward to watching take on the Limburg hills from
Maastricht to Berg en Terblijt.
On the men's side, the start list is — on paper — weaker than last year's edition. Tadej Pogačar, who
finished second in 2025, is not currently listed. Wout van Aert, who finished fourth last year, ended his spring on Sunday at
Paris-Roubaix, as did Mathieu van der Poel.
Tom Pidcock (Pinarello-Q36.5) is also highly uncertain after a heavy crash at the Tour of Catalonia. Isaac del Toro (UAE) dropped out of the Basque Country and Paul Seixas (Decathlon CMA CGM) also appears unlikely to participate.
So who will be there? Defending champion
Mattias Skjelmose for Lidl-Trek, and strong favourite
Remco Evenepoel of Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe. He returns to racing after finishing third at the Tour of Flanders two weeks ago.
Other big names currently on the start list include Tibor Del Grosso (Alpecin-Premier Tech), Matteo Jorgenson (Visma | Lease a Bike), Ben Healy (EF Education-EasyPost), Romain Grégoire (Groupama-FDJ), Kévin Vauquelin (Arkéa-B&B Hotels), Mauro Schmid (Jayco AlUla) and Julian Alaphilippe of Tudor.

Plenty of big (Dutch) names for women's race
The women's race features a host of top riders. Demi Vollering (FDJ-Suez), Puck Pieterse (Fenix-Premier Tech),
Marianne Vos (Visma | Lease a Bike), Karlijn Swinkels (UAE), Anna van der Breggen and Lorena Wiebes (SD Worx-Protime) make up an impressive Dutch contingent.
From abroad, world champion Magdeleine Vallieres (EF), Kasia Niewiadoma (Canyon//SRAM) and Liane Lippert (Movistar) are among those to watch — and many more besides. A fine day of racing in Limburg awaits.
