The second stage of the Vuelta a Burgos Féminas has been won by Lorena Wiebes. She was convincingly the best in the sprint, making it back-to-back stage wins. At Veenendaal-Veenendaal, Charlotte Kool also powered her way to victory in a sprint.

The Vuelta a Burgos Féminas opened on Thursday with a sprint stage. In the women's peloton, that has meant a Lorena Wiebes win more often than not in recent years — and this time was no different.
The Dutch rider flew to victory and found a similarly favourable course on Friday. It was not a straightforward controlled sprint, however. Several riders attempted attacks in the rolling finale.

At 11 kilometres from the finish, Fenix-Premier Tech launched another attack, sending a group of over ten riders clear. The cooperation in the move was poor, however, and a sprint remained on the cards.
A crash at the front of the peloton caused a brief split, but with three kilometres to go the lead-out trains made their move. In the end, there was no stopping Wiebes, who appeared to beat the field with ease.
