Edoardo Affini extends his contract with Visma | Lease a Bike for another 3 years: 'Source of calm and quality for the team'

Edoardo Affini has signed a new contract with Visma | Lease a Bike. The Italian, who lives in Drenthe with his Dutch partner, has established himself in recent years as one of the team’s most reliable support riders.

The Italian joined the team six years ago from BikeExchange and has since become an integral part of the squad. He also won the European time trial championship in 2024, his only victory during his time with Visma | Lease a Bike.

Affini will remain with Visma | Lease a Bike through 2029 at the very least. "I am really happy to extend my contract with the team. I think these next three years show the mutual trust and confidence we have built after already working together for six years," said the Italian.

Affini supported Vingegaard's unsuccessful Tour de France campaign in July, despite suffering a crash himself, but was left at home for the Vuelta a Espańa.
