Matteo Jorgenson offers poetic take on Visma | Lease a Bike’s Tour de France squad

Jorgenson has often posted nice things on social media, for example, right after races. Now, he took the time to describe his seven teammates for the Tour de France in his unique way, starting with Jonas Vingegaard. "A leader by setting a good example," Jorgenson writes. "A beautiful pedal stroke and one of the strongest people I know. He can endure more than anyone else and is a father and partner first, then a cyclist."

Jorgenson has written beautiful texts about all his teammates. Victor Campenaerts is called "the most committed rider in cycling," Edoardo Affini is a man of few words, but many watts,’ and Tiesj Benoot is praised for his love of cycling. "He was born to race, with a passion that has rubbed off on me. Whether he wins or loses, Tiesj loves nothing more than starting with a number on his back."

And so it goes for all seven. Wout van Aert is "the winner." "Everything he touches turns to gold. He counts for two riders, and although he doesn't take himself too seriously, he knows his value. He is irreplaceable and helps every teammate grow." Sepp Kuss is "the most relaxed guy in the pro peloton." "No matter what situation you're in, Sepp provides the right perspective.” Simon Yates "knows exactly when it matters." “He never gets stressed or worried, but he's always there."

Finally, sports director Grischa Niermann receives a tribute. "The voice that guides us through every moment," says Jorgenson. "The voice that is there before and after every stage, so that we can work through every challenge. He is loyal, and it is impossible to work harder."
