Good news and bad news for Lotto

April 7 – Belgian cycling team Lotto has announced a partnership with Deschacht-Hens-FSP, the cyclocross team of Toon Aerts. “The collaboration aims to create a clear synergy between road and cyclocross racing. For current riders of Deschacht-Hens-FSP—including Toon Aerts and Victor Van de Putte—this opens the door to a more attractive road program at a higher level. At the same time, riders from the Lotto Cycling Team who also compete in cyclocross, such as Sterre Vervloet and Ilken Seynave, will have the opportunity to further develop in cyclocross,” the press release stated.
On the other hand, the team also had to announce that team leader Arnaud De Lie will not race Paris-Roubaix and that Jenno Berckmoes’ spring season is over. “Arnaud will only return to competition when he is fully ready,” said sports manager Kurt Van de Wouwer to HLN.
