La Doyenne! Before you know it, the classic spring season of 2025 is done and dusted. We will traditionally conclude in Liège, where Liège-Bastogne-Liège finishes – and, for the men, also starts. Who will be at the start of this brutal Ardennes classic? IDLProCycling.com lists all the participants for you! Liège-Bastogne-Liège is known as one of the toughest classics on the calendar, and this is reflected in the field of participants. The top favorites are
Tadej Pogacar (UAE Emirates-XRG) and
Remco Evenepoel of Soudal Quick-Step, who have shared the last four editions.
Amstel Gold Race winner Mattias Skjelmose of Lidl-Trek and his teammate Thibau Nys will also be at the start, as will Tom Pidcock (Q36.5), Tiesj Benoot (Visma | Lease a Bike), and Ben Healy of EF Education-EasyPost. In addition, there will be some fresh faces from the Tour of the Alps, such as Romain Bardet (Picnic PostNL) and Giulio Ciccone from Lidl-Trek.
Mathieu van der Poel, who finished third in Liège-Bastogne-Liège last year, will not participate. The Dutch rider is taking some well-deserved rest after his victory in Paris-Roubaix and will return to competition on his mountain bike in May.
