Teams are already in full preparation for the new season. Meetings, more meetings and training rides: even though it is still November, the teams are already in full swing. UAE Emirates-XRG
is 'at home' in the United Arabic Emirates, where, in addition to training, there is also time for fun outings.
Tadej Pogacar knew what it felt like not to win.
Indeed, the Slovenian world champion will have gotten used to winning on the bike. Pogacar may seem to be an all-rounder on the bike, as evidenced by his performance this year in Paris-Roubaix, but the Slovenian does not always win outside cycling. The UAE team went karting and there we did not see Pogi on the top step of the podium.
In the photos shared by UAE Emirates-XRG via
Instagram, we see the stars of the team from the Emirates in racing suits. We also see some action shots, where we see a very concentrated look on Mikkel Bjerg's face, for example. Isaac Del Toro, on the other hand, looks much more relaxed, als we see him with a big smile on his kart.
Still, only one can be the best. Or well, two, apparently. Indeed, in the last photo we see
Nils Politt and
João Almeida standing on the top step of the podium. The team from the Emirates was apparently doing teams and the German-Portuguese duo was apparently the fastest. So for once, Pogacar did not win.

Pogacar completes extraordinary tattoo trilogy
In this same offseason, the world champion had made another special gesture for a fan. The Slovenian was at the BeKing criterium in Monaco, where he was beaten by Jonathan Milan. At that criterium, a fan asked him to write something on a piece of paper, which he would then tattoo on his arm.
The fan in question is Thibault Escaich, a French triathlete, who filmed the adventure on his
Instagram. On his paper, he got "Life is awesome" written by Pogacar, which he thus had tattooed on his arm. The Frenchman had previously asked Leon Marchand and Eliud Kipchoge to do the same, so he now has tattoos with a link to the three best athletes in triathlon sports.
