- Bit harsh on the organiser bashing, no? If they only hired her for two days maybe they were trying a social push and it simply misfired. Critique the decision, sure, but let’s not torch the whole comms team.

- This piece nails the bigger issue. Women like Meseguer, Mackinnon, and Bonanomi have grafted for years to be taken seriously in the paddock. Bringing in someone to flirt with a mechanic during Stage 1 coverage sets everything back. Muy mal, de verdad.

- I don’t get something: is UAE Emirates-XRG a separate squad from the WorldTour team? Or is that just a naming mix-up? Also, how does access work—can anyone just wait by the stairs to ambush riders?

- Pog’s response was stone cold and perfect: “I breathe 24/” Exactly the kind of composure you expect from a GC leader. This is a race, not a TikTok backdrop.

- Spot on from Meseguer. Media slots at a Grand Tour aren’t toys. Plenty of qualified reporters in cycling who know the riders, teams, and etiquette. Hiring someone who asks “who are the riders?” during the Vuelta is a howler.

- Van Aert vs Pedersen again? Sign me up. Their Giro ’25 battles were epic, and Manosque suits Mads’ diesel sprint. If Lidl–Trek control the run‑in, he’s favourite. Vamos, Pedersen!

- Great piece, but small nitpick: you mention “read more below the photo” and there’s a stray “p” in there—bit messy editing. Also, are we sure about back-to-back Provence wins in 2024 and 2025? Thought 2024 was certain, 2025 was a different profile?

- Quick question: when he says “red jersey isn’t a goal,” does that mean he won’t contest the TT fully if splits risk fatigue, or is it just he won’t defend it if he gets it by accident?

- Five to seven sprint/punchy chances sounds about right, but some of those “tough stages” might be borderline for him if the break goes long. Positioning will be everything. Allez Mads!

- Love the honesty from Mads. Target the stages, help Skjelmose for GC—clear plan. Monaco TT could even surprise, he’s been sharp against the clock lately.
