Roglič looks ahead to European time trial title

"I was already falling behind when Remco and Giulio pulled away," he continues. "There was already a small gap, so if I'd been at my best, I obviously should have been right there. From that point on, I was alone in that group, so it was still quite a battle."
On Wednesday, Roglič will also compete in the European Time Trial Championships. “That one’s a bit shorter, so maybe it’ll work out better for me, huh?” he laughs in his characteristic Roglic style.
Today's champion, Evenepoel, will not be racing the time trial on Wednesday, as he looks to focus on Lombardy instead.

With Pogačar sidelined and unable to chase a sixth Il Lombardia, Evenepoel may have a chance to continue today's winning streak.
