Follow us on GoogleTadej Pogacar is already back in good form, more than a month and a half after his crash in the Vuelta a España. The Slovenian rider from UAE Emirates-XRG is back in full training, but has also had plenty of time in recent weeks to enjoy the offseason with his partner, Urska Zigart. On Saturday, he hosted a virtual cycling session via his partner, MyWhoosh.

On Friday evening, Pogacar posted another video from his offseason on social media, in which we see him cycling—wearing his UAE kit, not the rainbow jersey. He was also pictured with Urska, both looking sharp in their suits, while of course there was also time for fun activities and good food.
During the session on MyWhoosh, Pogacar also cautiously discussed what 2027 might look like for him. “The team has presented me with three options, but it’s an important decision,” he acknowledges.

Will Tadej Pogačar start 2027 at the Tour Down Under?
In Australia, they'd love to see him ride the Tour Down Under, but the UAE Tour is also important to his team. "There's a good chance I'll ride the UAE Tour and do some classics as well, but we'll see."
"I think I still need some time to really figure out exactly what I want to do next year. And I think the final decision will be made in December," he says, referring to the first training camp in Spain.

Pogačar unconcerned by the 2027 Tour de France route
What does make sense, though, is that we’ll see Pogačar go for his sixth Tour de France victory next year. He’s also previously revealed that the Vuelta a España and the World Championships are high on his wish list for the upcoming season.
He dismisses the idea that the A.S.O. opted for an anti-Pogacar route with a laugh:
"There’s always a bit of everything. I’ve ridden seven Tours now, so it doesn’t really matter which cities host the start or finish. It’s always more or less the same—and it’s the toughest race in the world. So you just have to be prepared for anything.”
So Tadej Pogačar isn't really bothered by the 71km of time trials ASO has thrown in. Quelle surprise! But we will certainly see him line up in July 2027 regardless, attempting to make history.
