Visma | Lease a Bike confirmed on Tuesday the arrival of two new team managers. Addy Engels is returning to his old team after one year with Tudor, while the relatively young coach Joey van Rhee is making the move from Picnic PostNL, who are facing their fair share of troubles in 2026.

Head of Racing Marc Reef explains. “With Joey, we’re welcoming a young race coach who will strengthen our team. He’s ambitious, dedicated, and motivated to develop himself. That ambition and attitude align perfectly with the way we want to work as a team. We believe Joey is a great fit for our team’s vision.”
Engels actually went to Tudor last year, but is already returning:

“The bond between Addy and our team has always been special. Over the years, we’ve built a strong relationship, and he’s always fit perfectly into our system. With Addy, we’re bringing in a highly experienced race coach. He knows our team inside and out, is familiar with our culture and way of working, and knows both the staff and the riders well. That knowledge and familiarity are a huge asset.”

"With the arrival of Addy and Joey, we’re strengthening our coaching staff in a wonderful and well-balanced way. With their respective backgrounds, they bring a strong combination of experience, ambition, and fresh energy to the team. That balance provides the necessary calm and stability, while at the same time bringing new momentum and challenges that help us continue to grow as a team,” said Reef.
