Visma | Lease a Bike can look back on 2025 with a broad smile. In a stats-packed season recap published via the team’s official channels, the Dutch outfit counted 40 wins across the year. Standout results included overall victory for Simon Yates in the Giro d’Italia and Jonas Vingegaard lifting the Vuelta a España. Wout van Aert also received special attention in the round-up.
That Visma | Lease a Bike couldn’t quite match UAE Emirates-XRG and Tadej Pogačar in 2025 is obvious: the current benchmark team finished on 95 wins, more than double their great rival’s total. Even so, the tone of Visma’s review is upbeat. “A historic year for Team Visma | Lease a Bike", it concludes.
By the time Yates sealed pink in the Giro, Visma | Lease a Bike had already clocked 20 victories. Sprinters Olav Kooij and Matthew Brennan were flying, while Matteo Jorgenson and Jonas Vingegaard took overall wins at Paris–Nice and the Volta ao Algarve respectively—Jorgenson backing up his 2024 triumph.

Special spotlight on Van Aert’s ten Tour stage wins

After those twenty early-season wins—including three at the Giro—Yates handed the team its first Grand Tour GC of the year. The season summary also highlights the team’s runner-up spot at the Tour de France. On the women’s side, the headline was Pauline Ferrand-Prévot winning the Tour de France Femmes, and the year ended with Christophe Laporte taking the overall at the Tour of Holland.
Add in Paris–Roubaix success, plus twelve wins for serial winner Brennan, and the verdict is emphatically positive. With a special mention for Van Aert, who created “one of the most memorable moments of the year” on the Champs-Élysées at the Tour. "An epic solo victory on the famous cobbles after attacking on Montmartre six kilometers from the line to finish off the Tour de France in style."
"That win was one of 13 Grand Tour stage victories claimed by the men’s and women’s teams across the Giro, Tour, and Vuelta, making it a Grand Tour season to remember."
