- Congrats to Søren — gutsy move. But Alpecin looked a bit out of sync without the usual clean drop from 500 toTiny gaps, too much surfing. Next flat stage, they’ll reset. Vamos, Jasper, les jambes reviennent!

- Sorry, can someone explain why the peloton basically stopped with 400m to go? Is that normal in sprints or did someone mis-time the leadout? Also who is supposed to control pace at that point, the sprinter or the last leadout guy?

- Loved the honesty from Philipsen about the first 10 days being a grind. When the speed dies like that late, wheels overlap and elbows touch — that’s sprinting. No malicious move, just physics and panic.

- So the jury demotes him, then undemotes him? Make it make sense. If the contact with Girmay and the PostNL rider wasn’t relegation-worthy, why announce it in the first place? Feels sloppy from the commissaires.

- Great to hear Jasper say the legs are finally coming around. That stall at 400m was absolute chaos — you could see the whole leadout trains hit the brakes. Fair play to Wærenskjold for sensing it and going long. Third feels fair after that mess.

- Qué etapa tan rápida, madre mía! Tailwind + fuga fuerte = espectáculo total. Pogi con sangre fría, increíble.

- Safety talk is spot on. Bottles, road furniture, wind gusts—one mistake and ciao maglia jaune. Bravo to the motos and barriers crew too.

- Was the stage really “short”? It didn’t look that short on the ticker. How many kilometers was it exactly?

- Pogačar playing it cool today is classic GC craft. Save watts before the Vosges, then detonate. Yellow looks comfy and the team didn’t burn Almeida or Yates unnecessarily.

- Can someone explain what “breakaway” means here? Is it like a group that goes in front early and the main pack tries to chase them before the finish?
