Arvid de Kleijn has won the 93rd edition of the GP de Fourmies. The French 1.1 race was the opening event of a busy afternoon and evening in cycling. De Kleijn showed he is fully back after a difficult Tour de France for Tudor by taking victory in the sprint. Tobias Müller of Unibet Rose Rockets surprisingly finished second.

The race around Fourmies was, as is often the case, defined by a combination of attacking racing and control from the sprint teams. Several squads attempted to break the race open, but the fast finishers were ultimately given the opportunity to battle for victory on the streets of Fourmies.

De Kleijn, who had already enjoyed success in this French classic in 2024, had the best timing in the final stages and secured the win. With his victory, the Dutch sprinter underlined that he is back after his Tour de France debut ended in disappointment in July due to a troublesome injury suffered during the opening time trial.
