How is Jonas Vingegaard doing? We hadn’t heard anything official from the Danish rider at Visma | Lease a Bike for a while, and some concern was starting to arise in Denmark, but no worries. Team manager Richard Plugge said during the presentation of the Tour de France route that his protégé is doing well.

Vingegaard last competed in the Tour de France, where he was forced to withdraw because of a broken collarbone. Afterwards, he made an appearance at the Tour of Denmark, but then he went quiet.
Meanwhile, videos have already surfaced of the Dane training in Mallorca. “Jonas is doing great,” Plugge confirmed to TV2. “We’ve already had a good conversation. It was very pleasant,” the Dutchman said.

Visma | Lease a Bike on the Tour de France Route

Visma | Lease a Bike has already analysed the route of the 2027 Tour de France. “At first glance, it seems like a fairly balanced route, with a number of flat sprint stages, explosive finishes, and tough mountain stages. The two long, relatively flat time trials stand out in particular. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen that in the Tour,” said Head of Racing Marc Reef.
"Compared to last year, I'm seeing fewer riders making it to the top of the climbs, and in my opinion, there could have been a few more. All in all, it's an interesting course," he said, perhaps speaking a bit more from Vingegaard's perspective.

"It's October, and we're analysing everything, evaluating the situation, talking to Jonas, all the other riders, the coaches, and the sports director, so we'll make a decision together in the coming weeks," Plugge adds.
