Tudor Pro Cycling Team has secured the future of one of its brightest young riders. The Swiss squad has announced a contract extension for its 22-year-old French talent, who has quickly developed into one of the team’s most important riders. With the new deal, Tudor underlines its confidence in the rider as a cornerstone of the team’s sporting project. In fact, Rondel has been a key part of the project since the team’s inception. He joined the development team in 2023, but by mid-2024, following impressive results, he had already made the jump to the elite team. As a stagiaire with the big boys, he rode to an 11th-place finish in the Tour of the Alps that year. He also finished fourth in the Giro Next Gen.
Last year, he truly made his mark at the highest level for the first time. Rondel finished fourth in the Giro d'Abruzzo and ninth in the Tour de Romandie after a seventh-place finish in the queen stage. He ended the year with a
second-place finish in the Trofeo Tessile & Moda, and he also got off to an excellent start this year, finishing behind only Remco Evenepoel in the
Trofeo Andratx - Pollença.
Add to that an eighth-place finish in Paris-Nice, and you have a fantastic spring for the young rider from Le Mans. No wonder, then, that Tudor has offered him a contract for three additional years. “I’m happy to continue with Tudor Pro Cycling, a team dedicated to development,” Rondel says on
his team’s website. “This contract signals mutual trust, as well as our shared commitment to building a future together.”

Rondel already a key figure at Tudor
Rondel is set to form a strong duo with Michael Storer in the mountains. “It’s a long-term contract, and that’s how I see my development—a process that requires time, trust, and the right environment. I feel that Tudor is the best place for me to continue and take the next steps as a climber and general classification rider.”
CEO Raphael Meyer sees Rondel as a symbol of his team. “We are very happy to support Mathys’s growth and achieve great results together. He came from a different sport, joined our development program, and turned pro with us. Seeing him in the top 10 of a WorldTour race makes us proud and demonstrates the strength of our talent development.”
