Tom Crabbe has also claimed the final stage of the
Tour of Turkey 2026. Stage eight — a 105.2-kilometre stage starting and finishing in Ankara — came down to a sprint from a reduced but sizeable peloton. Crabbe hit the mark for the third time this week.
The Team Flanders-Baloise rider was well set up in the finale and sealed the win with a powerful surge in the final straight. Jelle Vermoote finished second, Stanisław Aniołkowski third. Belgium took first and second — and had every reason to smile.
The race followed a classic build for a final stage. A breakaway featuring Tim Marsman, Eivind Broholt Fougner and Byron Munton got some road, but the sprint teams kept the gap under control.
In the closing kilometres the pace rose sharply, and inside the final two kilometres the breakaway's adventure was over. The sprint trains took over, and Crabbe came out best from the
chaotic finale.

Australian Berwick takes the Tour of Turkey overall
Sebastian Berwick's overall victory was never seriously threatened. The Australian started the day just five seconds ahead of Iván Sosa, but Caja Rural-Seguros RGA kept things under control on the flat stage.
Berwick finished safely in the peloton and took the overall classification, ahead of Sosa and Kamiel Bonneu. It is the 23-year-old's second professional victory, having won a stage at the Tour of Hainan back in 2023. He built the foundations for the overall win on day six,
on a brutal final climb.
