UAE Team Emirates is eagerly eyeing another Monument victory, and their ambitions are crystal clear. This Saturday, the squad from the United Arab Emirates is all set to compete in Milan-San Remo, spearheaded by their ace and the race's hot favorite, Tadej Pogacar. The Slovenian powerhouse isn’t going alone; he’s backed by an exceptionally strong team.
Leading the charge with him are Tim Wellens and Marc Hirschi, Pogacar’s formidable right-hand men. Wellens, the Belgian powerhouse, showcased his stellar form at Nokere Koerse this Wednesday, tearing through the field, though he fell short of securing a finish with the lead group due to insufficient support. His excellent condition is underscored by his performances - 12th at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, runner-up at Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne, and 13th at Strade Bianche. Hirschi, on the other hand, is also in fine fettle, clinching third in Milan-Turin recently and grabbing a victory at the Faun Drome Classic.

Then there's the promising Isaac Del Toro. The young Mexican kicked off the season brilliantly at the Tour Down Under, delivering an impressive performance in the mountains during Tirreno-Adriatico, aiding teammate Juan Ayuso and securing a commendable fourth in the general classification. Diego Ulissi, who grabbed a fourth-place finish from Milan to Turin, teams up with seasoned teammates Domen Novak and Alessandro Covi, who together act as the squad's road captains. With this lineup, UAE Team Emirates is fully equipped to shake things up, starting from the Cipressa!
