Roglic has been in the spotlight several times in recent weeks. He finished eleventh at the World Championships in Rwanda and fifth in the Giro dell'Emilia. He also played a role in the final of Tre Valli Varesine, although a top result was ultimately not possible.
“I've recovered well. It's been better before, but also much worse on many occasions. You won't hear me complaining,” he said, looking ahead to his last primary goal of the season: the
Tour of Lombardy. “The racing is fast these days. Every race is fast-paced, and you really have to be at your best to ride in the finals.”
Partly due to the arrival of Remco Evenepoel, speculation has been ongoing for some time about the future of Roglic, who appears to be undeterred.
“About my future... how does the old wise man put it? We will see, huh,” he told
CyclingProNet. “We'll see how things unfold in the coming weeks, but normally I'll just be on my bike next year.”
