Following Julian Alaphilippe's signing last year, Tudor attracted another big name earlier this year with Stefan Küng. The Swiss team continues to build a dynamic squad and has now made its next signing: Will Barta from Movistar. The American knows exactly why he chose Tudor and explains his decision clearly.
With Küng, Tudor had already secured a significant signing this fall. In terms of outgoing transfers, only Alberto Dainese's departure to Soudal Quick-Step had been announced. At the same time, the Swiss team had already compensated for that loss with Luca Mozzato, the runner-up in the 2024 Tour of Flanders, who joined from Arkéa-B&B Hotels.
The talented Swiss rider Robin Donzé will also be transferred from the development team this winter, making Barta Tudor's fourth signing. “The importance they give to innovation in everything, especially time trials, makes me excited to get started,” the American explained his move in a press release.

Barta had already met his new team: "I was immediately impressed"

Barta had already met the team thanks to his friendship with current Tudor rider Larry Warbasse. “When I had the chance to meet the Team and see how professional they are in every area - science, coaching, training, nutrition, equipment - I was immediately impressed. The way they race together at the front is something I truly want to be part of.”
“Having the Team’s belief in me is a huge source of motivation. I’m confident that the stable and supportive environment will help me take the next steps in my career. My goals are to target stage wins in one-week races and mountain stages in Grand Tours, while always supporting our team leaders.”
Barta is transferring from Movistar, bringing an end to his four-year adventure with the Spanish team. The American did not enjoy much success there, apart from a victory in the Tour of Valencia. In the final stage of the 2024 edition, Barta stayed ahead of the charging peloton with a tremendous solo effort of just under 50 kilometers. To this day, that remains his only professional victory.
