- Pidcock vs Carapaz chess match was class. Respecting Richie enough not to gift time shows he’s thinking like a GC rider now. Grande etapa, bien jugado, Tom!

- Not sure the article gives enough credit to Tudor’s pull. They did more than “pitch in”—they helped shut the gap before the GC squads lit it up. Small detail, but matters.

- Loved the switch from swashbuckling to steady GC mode. That Stage 16 TT was huge—best I’ve seen him ride against the clock. If he holds this to Paris, top-8 is a proper step towards a 2026 GC tilt.

- So wait, why wouldn’t the other teams just let him go in the break again? Is it because he’s still close on time for GC and they won’t risk it?

- Smart ride from Pidcock today. You could see Pinarello-Q5 really commit on that final climb—pacing was measured, kept Carapaz on a leash. Eighth on GC after that TT is fair reward.

- Not sure I buy the narrative that UAE is “in trouble.” One bad day depth-wise doesn’t equal collapse. Pogi and Del Toro looked sharp; illness in the team ≠ leaders fading. Let’s not overhype it, yeah?

- Seixas talking podium at 19 is wild. Kid’s got legs and a head on his shoulders. Daan Hoole shoutout was deserved—rode like a diesel today.

- Quick question: if Del Toro is fine and UAE stabilises, how exactly can Red Bull-BORA isolate Pogačar on the Alpe? Is it about seeding riders in the break for satellite support or just pure tempo from the base?

- Alpe d’Huez x2 days is brutal scheduling. If Yates is still cooked and McNulty’s out, pacing for Pogi could get sketchy on the lower ramps. Crowd control absolutely needs to be tighter—barriers in the final 5 km, please.

- Great insight into how thin UAE looked today. When only Grossschartner is there with 5k to go, the sharks smell blood. Remco smart to play it cool and let Decathlon hammer Del Toro if there’s any weakness.
