Matthew Brennan has won stage two of the Flèche du Sud as well. The

Brennan also won Wednesday's opening stage over 94 kilometres. "It was a very cold and wet day today — though nothing compared to the Giro I was watching earlier," he said after that first victory.

Queen stage on Saturday
Thursday's 150-kilometre second stage ended in a bunch sprint — and Brennan was again the quickest. "Great work from the team — the lead-out was perfect. With one rider still attacking, the team put me in the right position and I was able to come over the top right at the last moment. This double is good for my confidence, and I'm very happy to have finished it off."
