Van Aert does not yet know when he will cross country
On Saturday
he participated in Tim Declercq's farewell criterium, where he was also asked about his cross plans. 'I started training cautiously the past few weeks, the real preparation can start in about 10 days. First I want to wait and see how it all feels to make a realistic plan.'
'I also have to take into account the road season which is coming: a little more patience,' said the Belgian. 'The plan was first to start the cross earlier. Now I have to see what time is realistic, because there are several things to take into account.'
