The 2026 season has only just ended, but there’s already plenty of speculation about the upcoming year. In fact, several prominent figures are already voicing their specific ambitions for 2027. Paul Seixas, speaking on behalf of Decathlon CMA CGM, isn’t quite there yet, but says he already has an idea.

Which team will Paul Seixas ride for after 2027?

Seixas was a guest on RMC on Monday, where he also spoke about his contract situation. His current contract expires in 2027, and teams like Visma | Lease a Bike would love to sign him.
“I think it’s a good thing that we haven’t made a decision yet. If you look at how the Decathlon CMA-CGM team has developed, we were talking about a completely different team a year ago.”
He’ll definitely still be racing for the French team in 2027, but what will the year look like for the Tour of Lombardy winner? “I have a general idea, but there are still a few decisions I haven’t made yet. I’m waiting to hear the team’s opinion. It will largely depend on what my coach says.”

Seixas: Giro or Tour de France before the World Championships?

One thing is certain: the World Championships in Sallanches are clearly marked as his main goal. It’s possible that even his choice of Grand Tour is directly related to that.
“What’s the best option—this Grand Tour or that one—before the World Championships?” Seixas, who seems to have to choose between the Giro and the Tour, wonders aloud.

Seixas is pleased with the 2027 Tour de France route

"Of course, I'm going to try to perform well in a Grand Tour, but I still need to figure out how to structure the rest of the season around it. In any case, I know that no matter which Grand Tour I compete in, I have high ambitions," he assures us.
"The decision will come naturally, and fairly quickly," said Seixas. The Tour de France has already announced its route, while the Giro's route will be announced next Tuesday.
“I can’t say whether I’ll ride the Tour de France if I don’t know yet. But the route runs largely through Haute-Savoie, near my grandparents’ house. It’s a beautiful route, and I’m really looking forward to it,” he adds.
