With the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes wrapped up, attention turns from Wednesday to both the
Tour de Suisse (men's and women's) and the Baloise Belgium Tour. IDL Pro Cycling keeps track of the
participants and race numbers for the revamped Swiss stage race, as well as any withdrawals during the race itself.
The men's field features a number of the world's very best.
Tadej Pogacar has never won the Tour de Suisse and is looking to change that this year. The UAE Team Emirates-XRG rider is the clear favourite for the five-stage race.
From a Dutch perspective, all eyes will be on the return of
Mathieu van der Poel, who has not raced since Paris-Roubaix. The Alpecin-Premier Tech leader is targeting stage wins in Switzerland, as he did twice in 2021.
Other notable names at the start include Thibau Nys (making his comeback for Lidl-Trek), Richard Carapaz (doing the same for EF Education-EasyPost), Tom Pidcock (Pinarello-Q36.5), Antonio Tiberi, Lenny Martinez (Bahrain Victorious), Primož Roglič (Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe) and Matthew Brennan for Visma | Lease a Bike.
