Lennert Van Eetvelt

Lennert Van Eetvelt, born on July 17, 2001, is a promising Belgian cyclist who made a significant mark in the under-23 category before turning professional with UCI ProTeam Lotto–Dstny in 2023. His transition to the professional ranks was fueled by impressive results as a U23 rider.

In 2022, Van Eetvelt demonstrated his racing prowess with notable achievements, including an overall victory at the Grand Prix Jeseníky, where he also won a stage. He secured a second-place finish overall at the prestigious Giro Ciclistico d'Italia, along with a stage win, and mirrored this result at the Tour Alsace. His consistency was further highlighted with strong performances at Liège–Bastogne–Liège Espoirs, Flèche Ardennaise, and a commendable third in the national U23 time trial championships, along with a sixth-place finish overall at the Tour de Normandie.

The 2023 season marked Van Eetvelt's first professional win, clinching the overall title at the Alpes Isère Tour, where he also won the points and young rider classifications, along with two stages. His upward trajectory continued with a second place overall at the Sibiu Cycling Tour, where he again topped the young rider classification and won a stage. He also achieved podium finishes at the Trofeo Serra de Tramuntana, Mercan'Tour Classic, and Trofeo Andratx–Mirador D'es Colomer. In 2024, he built on his success, winning the overall UAE Tour and the young rider classification, alongside a stage victory, and repeated his triumph at the Trofeo Serra de Tramuntana, also securing an eighth place at the Trofeo Pollença–Port d'Andratx.
