From a Dutch perspective, Mathieu van der Poel and Thymen Arensman were the most successful riders of the recent Tour de France. The climber from INEOS Grenadiers even managed to win two stages, which he could look back on with great pride in Paris. "What a first Tour it has been." “Finished my first Tour de France ✅,” Arensman (25) posted on his
social media after four Giros and five Vueltas.
“And what a first Tour, not too bad right?” he asks with a sense of understatement. "One stage win in the Pyrenees, from the break. One stage win in the Alps, against the very best riders in the world from the GC group. Unbelievable. To top it all up another 2nd place and apparently even 12th in the General Classification 👌🏻🤣,“ laughs the Dutchman.
”I can be super proud of this Tour! But I couldn’t have done this without all these special people supporting me. Thank you so much everyone❤️," said Arensman.

Arensman in action Monday in Boxmeer
Anyone who wants to see him in action in the coming days can do so at the post-Tour criteriums in several Dutch towns. "Let’s have a good party tonight and then I hope to see loads of Dutch fans at the post tour crits in Boxmeer, Surhuisterveen, Heerlen and Roosendaal!"
Arensman will be in Boxmeer on Monday. The organizers of Daags na de Tour have also managed to secure the green jersey winner Jonathan Milan and his teammate Edward Theuns, as well as Tour participants Pascal Eenkhoorn, Elmar Reinders, Roel van Sintmaartensdijk, and Dutch champion Danny van Poppel.
