It’s a battle that hasn’t been officially settled yet: where does Paul Seixas’s future lie? The top French talent from Decathlon CMA CGM has his pick of teams, and Visma | Lease a Bike is also in the running to sign him. Incidentally, Seixas’s contract with his current team still has one year remaining.

The battle to sign Seixas is a fiercely contested one. His current team obviously doesn’t want to lose him, but other top teams such as Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe, UAE Emirates-XRG, Visma | Lease a Bike, Pinarello-Q36.5, and Netcompany INEOS would also love to have him on board.
At Visma | Lease a Bike, they’re not shying away from it either. Marc Reef discussed it with Irish cycling journalist Daniel Benson. “Right now, Paul is under contract with Decathlon, and that’s all I can say.”

"He's an incredibly good rider, and I think every team will be looking at him if the opportunity arises, but right now he's under contract with Decathlon. I think every team would love to have him for the future," Reef said, remaining somewhat noncommittal.

Still, the Head of Racing for the Dutch team wanted to explain why Seixas would be a good fit for his team. “I think we’re a very good team. I think we’ve shown over the past few years that we’ve already won a dozen Grand Tours with different riders.”
"We've also shown that we can develop riders—just look at what we're doing right now with Davide (Piganzoli, ed.), and what Louis Barré is doing, and how we're doing the right things in the Grand Tours. "I think we’d be a really good team for him, but as I said, he’s still a Decathlon rider," Reef reiterated in his conversation with Benson.
